Problem after intake install
Hey everyone,
I installed an ATM intake recently. Shortly after installation, I got an SES light. The car goes in and out of limp mode randomly when driving. The code points to EGR issues, however I spoke with Dave at ATM. He has been very responsive and helpful, however I do not have a solution. I know that it is not the intake causing this because it is clearly a successful product. However, the problem persists and he confirmed that it seems like there is an air leak somewhere. All connections are sealed. The breather hose is not damaged. The only thing that we have narrowed it down to, is that the maf sensor may be damaged and this is what is causing the issues. Based upon everything that I described above, does this sound like a faulty maf sensor? There are no other issues besides randomly going in and out of limp mode. Thanks for your input! |

A bad MAF sensor will cause limp mode. Happened to me but I got the associated codes. My cars limp mode was correlated with ambient temperature. Cooler morning temps out no limp mode. Mid day, warmer temps, limp mode.

I would but attaching the file from my phone wasn't working last night and it's not working now. I'll try again at home later when I'm near a computer. Thanks!
