Dunkirk

Watched on PPV. Reviews looked good. Normally like war movies. Hated this one / had a hard time following it. Was it just me or did anyone else think this movie sucked?

Anyone see American Made? Was it worth watching? Any other PPV movies worth watching? Not seeing much else that catches my eye this week.

I'm dying to see American Made(also known as Barry Seal, here in Germany). I haven't seen Dunkirk either but it looks great. I worry that it won't live up to all the hype. Best war movies I have seen is Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers.

Right before Christmas, I downloaded American Made to my DirecTV DVR. About 5 minutes into it, playback stopped and said a problem occurred. Now it looks like it can no longer be downloaded from DIRECTV or rented on AppleTV until Jan 2. So instead of watching a movie I now have to call DirecTV to make sure I don't get charged.

Oh well, will find something else.

American Made was fantastic. Dunkirk sucked dunkey balls: buddy was raving about how it was made on 32mm films or whatever so a bunch of us paid $30 or so each to see it on Imax screen. I couldn’t wait for the stupid movie to end.

I watched it in IMAX and loved it. I think the sound is very important to the overall feel of this movie.

I really think the sound and vibrations made a difference. That part when the Spitfires first flew by was epic. It felt like you were there.

Yeah they were fine, but how did it turn into a glider for half the movie. Also saw in theatre opening weekend. Was jacked for it and left very disappointed.
