What would you do if you just detailed and got tar on your car?

Not that this has happened to the M, but it has in the past. I do a full detail and then less than a week later I get tar or bird poop on the car. What do you do when this happens? Of course it depends how big the damage is, but say it was just a few spots here and there. Would you clean it off, and do spot wash, clay, seal and wax or just wash it off and maybe re-wax?

do you have any quick detailer? I'd use some QD just wipe. Spot detailing is a bit excessive imo lol

The only thing is you want to get it off as quickly as you can. You can spot detail it, but if you soap isn't very harsh, you could just wash and wax over that spot if you really want

If it's really that bad, use bugtar remover and you should be fine.

if it's something like bird droppings, tree sap, or other watery substances, try washing the spot with car soap or use a quick detailer to wet the area (really wet the area).

now, tar and asphalt etc. would be treated different. they usually won't come off as easy as the above unless you remove it immediately. if it's been on your paint for a little while, you'll probably have to whip out a degreaser which in turn can (most likely will) remove the sealant/wax. you should then re-apply some sealant/wax after degreasing. if that doesn't help, try a claybar and lots of lubrication. again, re-apply sealant/wax.
