Turner Intake Silicone Tube

Has anyone tried the Turner intake tube? In trying to find more about it, it looks like a rebadged Mishimoto. Wondering if anyone has one or has knowledge of this part vs. Rev Motoring's intake tube.

Mishimoto is a ripoff and doesn't fit.

Just get rev motoring

Or use your factory one, cut out the useless part and use a bottle cap to cover the hole with high temp glue

I didnt say that Turner's is Mishimoto, but rather that it looks like it. That said, given the dimensions, I suspect that all are going to look similar.

I don't want to tarnish Turner's product but am instead looking for info.

I'm also interested in this new Turner offering. I basically JUST purchased and installed a RevMotoring example, and the fitment left a lot to be desired IMO. I'll probably grab one of the Turner brand ones in the next week or so and give it a shot/compare. I'm not really *worried* about the RevMotoring one, but it was pretty dang loose where it met the throttle-body adapter...

When doing my research, I read bad things about the Mishimoto which scared me away from that brand.

The Turner website says their intake tube was developed in-house so sounds like it's not a rebadge. Looking forward to seeing the differences between the two. I started to order one when I bought an exhaust for my car but decided not to since I have the Rev Motoring sitting next to my desk, waiting to be installed.

I'm curious to see if the Turner one comes with new clamps or not. The description mentions nothing of them but the photos have clamps in them so it's pretty confusing..

(not that it really matters anyway lol.. but hey extra clamps for basically free.. wouldn't complain.)

the stock ones are more than big enough to fit around a thicker hose. BMW hose clamps are nicer than almost all aftermarket ones anyway (stainless steel, rolled edges, etc).

Mishimoto came with clamps. The stock ones fit perfect though.

I installed the Turner Intake Silicone Tube today. Fitment is good without any issue. It comes with 2 new hose clamps, but I use the stock clamps because the mechanic also says BMW stock hose clamps really nicer then the others.

Just run around 20 km. and I didn't feel much difference.
But I do feel the throttle response slightly better then before and revs to 7K a bit quicker. I'm happy with this mods.

The Turner N52 intake boot does come with new clamps, they are high-quality worm clamps but I'm not against reusing factory clamps as yes they are very high quality.

Fitment, like pretty much everything I've seen from Turner it's fantastic. As boosthead said, it may look similar but well... the Turner one fits! lol

I have this mod installed and although it does *slightly* increase intake noise at some RPMs, I don't feel like it makes much of a power difference. I can discern a bit more intake noise, but not so much that it sounds much different. I honestly would skip the mod and spend the money elsewhere.

the difference is subtle - but it's there. it's easier to tell if you have two N52s you can drive back to back. Our E91 had the stock tube, and was definitely quieter. The reality is these cars have a lot of sound deadening so it's hard to hear the engine anyway.

I wouldn’t think that different brand tubes make different gains (if at all) only dofference would be fitment, my mishimoto was a little tight but nothing impossible
But if someone was to replace their air filter for a k&n, do the charcoal delete and swap the intake silencer tube all at once, it would actually be a noticeable difference. My car felt like a whole different car, way more responsive and I felt breadth better too

It doesn’t fit as perfectly flush as the stock one, but it fits well enough. Using an AFE dry filter with no charcoal delete. Difference is minimal. Probably wouldn’t buy again. Money would be better spent elsewhere on the car. Looks nice though
