Sway Bar Options for 328xi Touring
I just picked up a 2010 328xi Touring and am looking into sway bar options - I usually upgrade sways as the first thing on all my cars. It looks as though most sway bars for these cars are not for the X-Drive models so selection is more limited.
I found some info on UUC sway bars for X models. Price looks pretty good, but I would like to hear from others who use them. Also, what else is available? On a wagon, I suspect that the front may be the same as sedans/coupes but the rear may be different (and there may not be any options for the rear other than stock). On my C5 Corvette after looking at all the aftermarket options, I went with the most bang for the buck by going with Z06 swaybars front and rear and have been very happy with them. But it looks as though there is no M version that can fit the X-drive? Thanks! K9Leader |

UUC makes f+r swaybars for the xDrive cars. The rear suspension of the xDrive cars is identical to the RWD cars, so the M rear sways will also fit.
With that said, I would drive the car a bit more before putting swaybars on. The balance of these cars is pretty good and there's really not a lot of body roll on this chassis when you're on regular all-season tires. If you're experiencing some understeer and want a larger rear sway to fix it, look at adding a bit of front camber first, either with a fixed dinan-style camber plate, or even by lowering the front a bit. |
