WTB: AWD Transfer Case Actuator
Looking for a transfer case actuator for my 2006 E90 330xi 6MT. Low miles preferred. This part should be the same for any E90 AWD car, regardless of engine or transmission.

I have a used one that you can repair, if needed. I replaced mine and this was the old one.
58k on it from my e90 xdrive. Only $10 Just pay for shipping and handling. |

How would I repair it? Is there a kit for the E90 transfer case actuator? I've only found one for the X3 actuator, which I thought was the same, but is not.

I will say that there is a certain value in just swapping the whole actuator if I could find one in good shape. It would be a bit easier. Thanks!

This could be a reasonable option, actually... If I just repair yours and then swap it in. Are you certain that it's the worm gear that went bad?

I am not sure its the worm gear. Sorry, I did not attempt to open up. Worst case scenario, you might be able to swap parts from my servo motor.
Again, I don't push my e90 hard so I was surprised I got the 4x4 light on with 58k. Once I changed the unit, codes were cleared. Been ok for the past 2,000 miles. No codes with new unit. $10 + shipping would be worth trying I suppose. I spent $400+ on new unit. Let me know. |
