2011 E90 Paddle Retrofit Question
Has anyone in the forum done a paddle retrofit with a 2011+ E90 LCI Model?
I searched the forum last night and didn't find anyone with this exact scenario. From what I can tell, 2011 started using new LCI paddles as opposed to SSG type. I have a 2011 328i with non sport wheel and no paddles. I'd like to retrofit paddles using the Burger Motorsports harness, but I'm unsure if I can use pre-LCI paddles such as SSG type with my 2011 328i, or if I have to use LCI paddles with this vehicle. At the moment I've ordered an m tech wheel with SSG paddles, the Burger harness, and a sport steering wheel airbag. Anyone know if this will work? Now I'm kinda wishing I bought a wheel with LCI paddles being that is what comes normally for my model year. Just looking for advice from those that may have done this on this model year or newer before. Thanks in advance. |

Thanks for the reply. I've read the guide several times over. The guide covers using LCI paddles in older vehicles (if that's what you're referring to) but doesn't address the opposite, whether non LCI paddles (SSG) are supported in vehicles that are meant for LCI paddles (2011+). It also doesn't state whether LCI paddles need to be modded if they're being used in an LCI paddle generation vehicle.
