CG Grime Reaper: paint safe?
i'm looking for a degreaser i can use on heavily contaminated paint (usually lower panels, bumpers etc.).
is CG Grime Reaper a product i safely can use for this task (diluted most likely), or is there another product (from CG) that's better/safer for this? i realize P21s Total Auto Wash (TAW) is what i really want, but it's harder to get over here, and 32 oz of it costs the same as 1 gallon of Grime Reaper. thanks!

yeah if the bottle says not to use on paint, the chemicals probably will loosen up your clear coat a lot. I wouldn't touch any paint with it. Keep that stuff in the engine bay or in the undercarriage

This isn't completely off topic, but I just got some grime reaper to use for wheels. CG recommends 5:1, do you think that is too strong for painted wheels or wheels with special finishes?

i would do a really strong dilution if you use it on wheels. wheels have a much lighter clear coat than paint and i wouldn't let it soak very long

I'd just wait for their Wheel Gel to come out. Grime Reaper really is just far too much for wheels. I used it pretty heavily diluted once on my old Mustang GT's wheels because I don't give a damn about them and didn't have anything else around, but I wouldn't use it on nice new wheels on a BMW.
