Where to buy black lower grill for E92?

UED's web site says they are out of stock for the E92 black lower grills. Does anyone know where else you can buy these?

DIY ...It's not that hard if you don't take out the front bumper. Search under DIY forum. There are some excellent information. I had someone remove mine and put it back on but I did the painting part myself - cost around $7 for a can of spray paint and about an hour for adding three coats, one after the other. Looks like a million $$$$ It's a must if you have AW and are going with black or CF kidney grilles.

Here you go. Just did this last weekend, turned out very nice. Takes a little time if you have OCD like myself. Make sure you do a good job taping the bumper with painters tape. Great mod at a cheap price. Best part about this is you don't have to take the bumper off!

I don't think anyone answered his question.

Does anybody sell these PRE-PAINTED to replace the stock silver one.

You get the 328 mesh from the dealer. Its already black and its not painted.

Painted mesh is a poor bandaid method of doing the job as it could chip and never looks as good.

I personally like the lighter colored mesh on the alpine white cars. Stock grills, stock upper grill slats and the black surrounds is where its at.

They should fit. The bumper of the 328 is identical to the 335 bumper.

if your gonna get them from a dealer just keep in mind that these are from a 328 (so are the ones from UED) so they block air flow to the oil cooler (if you have one) but UED actually modifies their's to allow air flow to the oil cooler, if u dont have a n oil cooler and not planning on getting one i say just get it from any dealer then, if not wait till UED stocks some of their's

Thanks everybody. I have the oil cooler so the 328 grills won't work. I need the modified grills. I'm pulling the bumper off at the end of this week to install a Helix intercooler and wanted to replace the lower grills while the bumper is off. UED makes the modifed grills, but is out of stock. I don't want to paint the grills because of chipping so I'm looking for a source other than UED.

I have the UED ones. Besides having a part number scratched out, they don't appear modified in any way at all. Meaning they appear to be a factory BMW part (likely from another market) that UED marks up and resells.

I have a BSM E92 and just installed my matte black grille last week. My question is, do most people paint their lower mesh grille black as well? I know you all are going to tell me to paint it, but what do most people do? Please advise

I ordered mine from UED (which is not painted, it is just black) which is good cuz it wont ever chip from road debris. But as stated already, they are out of stock. If I were you, I would just wait until they get some more in. It will save you the pain of having to repaint every couple of months...

if you are having to repaint every couple months, then you either bought some bad paint or you drive on dirt..

Right, but what I meant was do most people black out their lower mesh grille or just keep it the stock color if they have the matte black grille?
