Question on JB4 MHD BEF

Hi all,

I'm thinking about doing the MHD BEF for my 2008 335i 6sp. I am getting my DPs put on this weekend, have DCI and a 5" stepped IC as well as a VRSF CP with a Tial BOV. I a couple of questions, I'm hoping the wisdom of the board can help with:
- I have e85 available in my area along with 93 octane, which map should I run with these mods? I'd prefer not to get into the fuel system (yet - I'm sure my quest for power will take me there eventually)
- Is the BEF worthwhile for my set up?
- I found this tablet on Amazon, seems to be the consensus but all the info I found was a few years old, is there a better, newer tablet in this range that everyone is using? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...A37VHTD60S0G3C
- Aside from the $70 for the BE-Flasher app, are there any other costs?
- I am about to pull the trigger on the JB4 Bluetooth connect and app for IOS, I thought about running it all from this tablet but I use my phone for everything. Am I better off using a dedicated tablet for the car?
- Is there anything else I should be considering when doing this?

Thanks as always for the infinite wisdom of car forums!

It's well worth it. If you plan to move between E85 mixtures and pump then the RACE map is a good starting point. Once you set 4/2 in dash that will adjust the JB4 maps to match. Then likely map2 and map5 will be what you prefer to use.

Awesome, thanks! Are there any additional costs beyond the $70 BEF, like for each map or anything?
