Cool F30 Style Infotainment Nav Screen E9x Retrofit Idea

For Discussion:

I would love if they had something like this for the E90 where it would essentially look like the F30 series up-top style navigation
and not the older down-below E46 style nav units. You also won't have to move your hvac unit.
Cutting into the dash can be down where it isn't too hard.

This would be sweet! I would much rather add this in my car rather than changing the stock head unit or installing the GROM-MST4 and having to add the Bluetooth dongle and loosing my stock mic.

There's this at the bottom of the page for the Avin unit though:

Note:
Touchscreen function is only supported when in Android mode
Audio is routed through the AUX channel

So I'm curious to know how are you able to skip tracks through steering wheel functions if this is connected to the Aux input for audio... Or am I getting this wrong and what they mean is that I must put my stock radio to AUX and this is where it connects to the Avin unit?

Yeah I think their aux cable is incorporated into the harness that somehow allows you to use steering wheel functions to be able to skip tracks
