AC Fabrication Top Mounts Single Turbo Kit

Good afternoon all!
I recently bought a single turbo kit from AC Fabrication for my 2009 BMW 335xi
I am here to share my experience and review of the kit.
So lets begin.
I bought this kit from AF Fabrication I talked to Anthony for few months asking all sort of questions regarding kit he sold me.
He responds really fast usually within 1 hour.
After i figured out what i wanted he send me invoice to Paypal.
I paid that invoice and in 1 week my turbo kit was by my door.
Everything came in one box and well packed.
I ordered full kit without Turbo because i have Comp 6467 laying around .
Here are some pictures of this beautiful kit.

How much did you pay for the kit. I'd also like to know when it's going on and how everything fits?

lol, so ACF is definitely trying hard to shake off some bad rep.

Just FYI for rest of the readers, here is my experience with ACF

nope, nothing, basically just ignoring this like it ever happened. read rest of my thread btw.

worst part is that Payam decided keep on using pictures of my kit to promote the quality and craftsmanship of Anthony's work.

To be fair, ACF never developed or marketed the top mount ST to fit the beefy EFR. It was designed to fit the smaller Precision turbo, which explains the fitment issues. That said, since you (and I!) both plan on heavily tracking - I think the EFR was ultimately the right choice. Unfortunately as you and Eric found out - given that this was unchartered territory - getting the EFR to fit up top required some extensive fab work to squeeze 10lbs of stuff into a 5lb bag.

In hindsight (or for future reference), it seems the ACF bottom mount would have been the simpler setup to go with if considering an EFR (I should have mine on hand shortly and will share more at that time). Regardless, cannot wait to see/hear this beast in action. AFAIK this will be one of the only top mount EFR N54's out there.

You are correct that the manifold was never designed for the efr turbo. So modifications such as strut tower were totally acceptable in my opinion. I was even prepared to modify the hood just in case.

That said, I was promised by ACF a kit that would fit with minimal modifications. And I was charged accordingly for the so call "modifications" done at their end. The resulting product is pretty far off from what was promised and my previous post cover that already. And I am not gonna dive into the communication problem I have with them, which includes lying about getting the kit shipped when it wasnt. Base on my own experience dealing with them, I would not recommend anyone from doing any sort of business with them. And I really hope you will have better luck dealing with them.

In hindsights, I should have just purchased the Doc Race manifold and fabricate the downpipe locally. Their kit has been proven to work with the efr turbos without too much additional work.

By the way there are three top mount EFR n54 cars that I am aware of. I am sure there are more out there too.

I’ve yet to hear of anyone running an EFR on a Doc Race kit. Link?

And last I heard to run an EFR it was either:
Top Mount - custom fabricated
Bottom mount - ACF kit or custom fabricated

And sorry OP for derailing the thread. Look forward to hearing about your experience.

Yeah, I can't understand why is so dificult for some to learn how to properly post photos. Your photos on the VTT failed turbos thread are exceptionally well. I'm glad that worked out in your favor!

Probably realized how much of a headache install was or had issues and returned the kit lol Considering there hasn't been an update and i'm still hearing bad news from AC.
