Diesel not going without a fight

Looks like the diesel engine is not going down without a fight. Check out this article - very interesting. The internal combustion engine is not dead yet*

I had the pleasure of following a modded e92 330d today, it was belching great plumes of black smoke as it was floored between speed humps and it sounded like a bag of spanners

It should be removed from the road until cleaned up and if the mods have caused the smoke the owner should be prosecuted. I may drive a diesel (euro 6) but I'm still in favour of having dirty cars, diesel and petrol, cleaned or removed.

needs more boost

i diesel doesn't have to smoke, i love my diesel and the way it makes power ect and all that jazz, but part of what i like is all that power and the exhausts stay spotless.....

i used to have a tuned TDI golf and that rolled coal, but i was young.... now i'd hate that, takes away from the class of the car i think

Besides we all know diesels are better....
