In plain word : No
Only watch I like the most is Laurent Ferrier's minute repeater but price tag must be beyond my budget

Yup. I don’t understand it. Wife said I could pick between the Daytona ss vs sub. Both have waits. I prefer the sub just cause I love divers.... but wait I must it’s ok. She won’t let me buy a preowned one and I cannot use a gray dealer....only contiditoons.
I can’t get myself to pay for a Tudor cause it’s not materially less than the no date sub. |

I never thought of buying watches (Rolex to be exact) as investment. Only as something that will hold value. Now seeing prices going up and getting a bit crazy. I am glad I have a few pieces that have gone up in price though.

I am loving the new Patek Nautilus 5740 and the Travel Time 5524R. The travel time looks even more elegant than the white gold. Sadly it will take years to get one.

Honestly don't care for the Pepsi (or the jubilee bracelet for that matter...). If I were to pick up any of the Rolex basel releases, it would be the two-tone "root beer" GMT, but I already have a Steel LN GMT II and don't plan on selling it... there are many watches I'd have before adding another GMT to my lineup.
That being said, I really want to see the new Omega Seamaster 300s in person; I like both the grey face/blue rubber and sedna gold/black rubber versions Honestly, still trying to save up for either a Steel Skydweller or the classic AP Royal Oak (blue face). And looking to add a less expensive dress watch to the collection (thinking Frederique Constant classics heartbeat(?))

Not into Rolex territory, but I bought a new Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical that they had there. I liked the older version with the date, but the new one with no date just looks so much better in my opinion.

A kinda new Oris 36mm dive watch with the bronze bezel blue dial recommended in hodinkee/Bloomberg and under $2000 is looking very tempting, I’m skinny so the 36mm will be good - but seems lot of people are buying smaller watches and sharing them with spouses.

I am considering the Black Bay (red with new movement) myself. There is one coming in on trade near me and I have an indication it will be low 3s as a very slightly used timepiece.
