Windshield Wipers Staying on For 8 Seconds

So today I went to use the windshield wipers and they will go on constantly for 8 seconds. It does it if I push it down, up, or turn on automatic mode. Also there is no way to make them go faster or slower or stop during the 8 seconds.
Then they will stop and stay in whatever position they were in, top bottom, middle it doesn't care. Then I can turn them on again and the same thing happens. It works for 8 seconds then nothing. After the second time they are dead and will not move unless I restart the car.

I replaced the hpfp the other day, maybe I somehow messed up some wire? I don't know which one to check though. The relay and fuses seemed okay as well. Im not getting any codes either. Any other ideas what could be causing that?

EDIT:
I looked at the codes with ISTA and got an A6C9 code which means "Blocking of windscreen wiper". It seems that the wiper motor is not sending the signal that the wipers are actually moving, so it keeps trying to move them and gives up. Then after the second time the wipers get locked to prevent damage or something.

The ISTA test procedure results say that the reset contact on the wiper motor or the reset wiring is bad. So based on my research it is just some corrosion or something so I will take the motor out of give it a cleaning.

Sorry, what is a JBEE?

I did notice that one of the gasket things on the wiper arm was coming out, so water could have gotten in there. I'll have to tear it apart.

Oh, the JBE. If that was going bad wouldn't I see more issues with other electrical things/some codes?
