CC-ID 97 Airbag code
I'm getting code CC-ID 97 which looks like an airbag sensor issue for the passenger side of my 2009 328xi. This is very annoying. BMW stealership wants to charge my $199. just to diagnose when they could easily just tell me what the problem is.
Anybody here had this issue before/know what the fix is? |

Hi there,
Probably the problem is at your passenger occupancy sensor, it is a common failure for E6X, E9X, E7X. Your issue has 2 answers: 1. New sensor mat. Or if you are lucky, the connector beneath your passenger seat just got loose , and just by reconnecting it and clearing the fault codes you can get away, small chance but worth trying. 2. Code the car without a passenger occupancy sensor. |
