Uneven brake pad wear questions

My car is down for a turbo repair and i decided to look at my breaks since they were squeaking and figured now is the time to change the fluid and pads; however, before pulling them i noticed uneven wear on the inside pads.

These pictures are the both the left and right front brakes. It seems rather odd to have both front breaks wearing the exactly the same way. Does this look like there is air in the system?

Should i proceed with the break pad replacement/sensor replacement or should i be worried about something more going on?

my best bet is the guide pins in the calipers are either worn/bad or not fully lubricated in the boots as they should be. Take them out and inspect them, is really easy. If I were you, I would buy a new set/kit and make sure the right amount and type of grease is put in.

Forgot to add. I mainly think on the guide pins after the fact that the inner pad is more worn than the outter, leading me to believe the guide is not moving or 'pushing' the outer pad in evenly when braking.

Id rather source them locally if possible, or should i just go oem?

I found these

https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...erm=guide+pins

https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...025/10168234-P

Also how can I tell if my current ones are bad? maybe only one is bad? I'll have to take it apart later today for a better view.

If i go oem, ill need 4 guide pins, but what about the boots?

how many does this have? do i also need 4 of these?

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...r/34116758707/

I also found these... i dont need these right? It mentions bmw performance ones im guessing thats aftermarket?

you need 2 per caliper. OEM or not, it's your call

I don't see nothing wrong with going with aftermarket and sourcing the parts locally since at this point even if none OEM replacement would probably be better that what you currently have on there. Correct, you need 2 per caliper. If you don't want to spend money, remove the pins, clean the guides and the pins, lube them nicely and reinstall. It should take care of the none sliding issue at least. You might end up with tapered pad wear still if guides are worn out and deformed. But at least caliper will slide. Honestly, I would just replace them.

Quick question. Ive decided to order oem caliper guide bolts but im not sure which one to order?

This
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...h/34111157041/

Or this
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...h/34116757036/

According to real oem they both work, or does this mean both are needed for one caliper?

either will work and you need 2 per caliper, so order 2 of any of those.

It goes against my own intuition but I clearly remember the Bentley specifically stating to NOT put any grease on the caliper slide pins.

Very strange, I don't know why. My best guess is that dry is less likely to attract and retain dirt and grime.

I've always put Sil-Glyde on my pins in the past with no issues though. I think I even greased mine last time going against the advice of the Bentley.

I ordered two pins. Ecs said there was a lower pin and an upper so I ordered two of each.

Are the torque specs you just posted in this picture for all pins?

Also it said road wheel to hub, that's referring to the wheels bolts Correct?

Yeah I think they are different lengths, that's all. the torque remains the same on all of them.

Also yes, road wheel to hub is the lug bolts.
