Need to flash module?

Here is a snap shot of my modules, any need to update them?
Seems like most were updated in 2011.

The JbBF doesn't have a VIN allocated to it, probably because it was replaced under warantee. Is this an issue?

Is my version of the CAS the one that disables the ELV error?

Thanks

That looks just like the UIF page for every E89 integration level car I've seen. 2011 had all of the important DME and CAS updates. It's quite common for the FRM or JBBF not to have a VIN stored. Personally I see no reason to update software unless you are attempting to fix a specific problem.
Unless you have an ICOM and a 50 amp power supply, I wouldn't attempt any flashing. It's pretty easy for things to go sideways.

dont update if its working.

that screenshot is UIF,
its for informational purposes only and does not show real VIN numbers stored in modules.
i.e. UIF record is different from real VIN record. usually they match.

Thanks, so what were the updates and dates of latest daten?

Do you know if the CAS update prevents the steering lock problem?

You can figure out the DATEN version by reading off the Integration level or I-level.
BMW does not publish the changes contained in each Daten version.
Since every e89 based vehicle I've ever seen has had 2011 dates on the DME and CAS, it's a safe bet that's when the major issues were fixed.

ISTA+ will show you the I-level as you read out the car.

You can also find your I-level in INPA, functional jobs, info. Gives you plant, dealer, and backup. You'll need a I-level table to correlate your I-level to your daten version.

Bimmergeeks has the Rheingold (ISTA+) download if you need it.
