headlight washers not retracting
Hi Guys,
I have 2010 LCI e92. The car has xenons and headlight washers as standard. When I bought the car both covers were glued so I never knew I had them I had unfortunately has slid and kit a curb driving into grass As a result I lost one of the covers and found I have the jets. I bought a cover and new jet for a passenger side and connected them over. The problem I have now is they come out but not retract on both sides. From my understanding there are 2 pumps one for headlights and one for windscreen. When water squirts over headlights the jets are forced to retract. Due to the fact I never had them working does anyone know if its possible to connect windscreen pump to headlights and the headlight pump to windscreen? Thanks, Styvy |

ok problem solved.
From testing: 1) removed front and rear arch liner from both front sides. 2) Blew air into jet directly to verify both are working 3) blew air from pipe supplying water to jets. The result was they came out but did not retract. 4) there is a small 3 adapter which supplies the water to 2 jets. 5) removed insides of the adapter. Problem solved. |

The problem actually ended up being I have a jet cable from a different car. The valve which caused a problem for me doesn't come standard on my piping.
