Going for 400rwhp....

I will be having UR catless DP's installed this weekend and I will be shooting for 400rwhp on pump gas (93 octane).

This does sound improbable and impossible but I am going to give it a shot. I put down 365rwhp with just an intake and V3 so I figure with DPs I should be in the 390 - 400rwhp range if I am lucky....

The dyno will be done at the same place I always dyno at and I will make sure to have the cooling system setup the same as last time.

My car is as follows:

2008 BMW e90 335i
Steptronic
PROcede V3
Dual K&N Cone Filters
UR Catless DP's
BMS o2 simms

I am getting the DP's installed in the morning (~8am) and I will dyno later that day. I am bringing my laptop with me so I can make little changes to user torque settings or even change maps if I want to.

Feel free to comment or wish me luck. I know I probably wont hit 400rwhp on pump gas but it is worth a shot!

Yep, still have secondary cats. I dont feel like chopping up my exhaust system, just in case I need to go back to stock quickly.

If I am 3-5rwhp short than I will chop them off....

hahaha, just chop it it's not a very large procedure at all. it takes about half an hour and your car sounds so much better without it. anyways, once my v3 gets here i'm gonna be right behind you trying to make some good numbers! gl man

Thanks for the good luck wishes! I will be dynoing at a shop that does exhaust work so I could just have them do it while they have it on the lift. I just dont want to be stuck with a chopped up exhaust when I need to go stock.

I wish I could just unbolt the midpipes....

I probably will. I will just ask him how much he would charge to chop those badboys off and throw in some straight pipe. I am sure it wouldn't be much, maybe an extra 30 bucks....

On pump gas, I'd say 370-375whp if you add catless DPs. 385-395whp with DPs and cat-back (no cats). But as always, good luck

Wow, Procede V3?
When did this happen?

I really wish I had the V3 for this weekend when I get another dyno.

So adding catless DPs onto my current setup (365rwhp), would only get me 5-10rwhp?

I guess we will just see. I hope to suprise everyone.....

either way still great numbers so if you were to fall a little short don't sweat it. your car will sitll be making some serious power. for those days you want 400 hp you could probably just mix your fuel
