Tires, Tires, and Tyres.
Fellas, I've decided on a wheel setup for my car which is Konig Ampliform as it seems their prices and flow formed construction is an uncommon pair in this industry.
Now I need some advice on spacers, should I get some, and also Tires. I'd have to admit that I like bargan prices and products VS paying for the best. The wheels I'm looking at 18x8.5 with 32 offsets, I was hoping for 40, but they don't have it I'm hoping to get some 235/40r18 tires since that's what is recommended for my XI car in a square setup by other forum members. My question is, what is the Go To Tire for these wheels. I drive a 2007 328xi, so it's not a tun of HP at the brake, but I have a kid in the back and I don't want any sloppy driving going on. Thank you in advance! |

100% do not cheap out on tires, they are the number 1 most important safety part of the car, especially since you have a baby in the back.
Those sizes are fine for your car. 32 offset will look better than 40, you could run a 10mm spacer (or even 15mm in back) all around for a pretty flush fitment but it's definitely not necessary.

saying all that, since you are in vancouver like me, i would definitely go for all seasons, since we get a ton of rain. DWS continental is a good option, as are michelin a/s tires. Check costco, they always have good deals on tires ( if you are buying locally ) |

Check out the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06. That's a great all season tire that won't break the bank. I have them on my personal car and I have no complaints after over a year of driving on them. They hardly look like they've even worn.
