How does he keep stealing Trucks? The guy who shot the Dallas police officers

Horrible incident. He is going away for a long time, if he avoids the needle.

What also caught my attention, is how did he keep stealing trucks? He stole 2 on the day this happened. How are they so easy to steal?

I know there are some trucks and SUVs (2008-ish) from Chevrolet that are stupid easy to steal, like smash the window and screwdriver to the ignition.

I know at least the nicer chevys in the same time period had engine immobilized keys, but why that wasn’t standard i don’t know.
