Stage 2 Active Autowerke Tune Safe?
I don't post much on the forums but, I couldn't find anything on the subject. I have been doing research on the AA Stage 2 tune for the 328i and all I can find are good things so, it's something I want buy some time in the future. But, the one thing that I never see talked about is if it's safe for your engine or not. I have a 2007 328i Wagon with the Injen intake and a MagnaFlow rear muffler. The only thing that I'm worried about is the fact that I have 130k miles on the car. (it was a commuter car for the previous owner)
So, I'm just curious if anyone has some insight about this tune and weather or not it's safe for higher mileage motors. Thanks, Jake ![]()

The tune is safe but just keep in mind it will show any weakness in spark plugs , coils, charge pipes/ connections and fuel supply. I would change all the plugs and coils before the tune with recommended heat range and gap from the tuner.

Thank you very much KWX1, I really appreciate the feed back. I'll take it you have some experience with this tune? Did you do all the installation yourself?
If so, was it difficult or pretty straight forward?

NA cars usually don't have to worry about tunes, even if you tune it pretty aggressively it'll do MUCH less damage than an aggressive boosted car.
That said, yes you can advance your timing/lean it out until all your pistons have holes in it, but you know what I mean.
