FS ZF 6 Speed Transmission

Selling a ZF 6 Speed transmission out of a 2009 135I will also fit a 335i. Box has only 54000kms on it. $1000 ONO

You posted this in the perfect timing haha, I was in the middle of negotiations with a wreckers in Colorado, to ship a box from the US to Melbourne! I much prefer to buy locally though

Mate. There are a few for sale. Check brule and sockets posts got a manual box.

Thanks mate, I just bought Brule's box and some other parts required for the manual conversion!

Yeah I saw Socks post, but I am going to keep the 3.46 auto diff ratio for now, and see how it plays with the shorter gear ratios of the manual box. If I found the gears are too short, or the car is revving too high at 100km/h in 6th gear on fwys, then I'll look for 3.08 manual 335i diff, or a 3.15 DCT E92 M3 diff with LSD. (Difference between 3.08 and 3.46 ratios, is only 12%, so it shouldn't be too bad hopefully).

My car is a 2007, so it already has the beefed up axles, it'll be a matter of diff swap. 2008+ autos cars received thinner axles which aren't compatible with the large pumpkin diff on the manuals and pre-2008 autos.
