Best black leather conditioner / softner

Hi All,

Been using chemical guys leather conditioner , not really making the leather any softer on my 12 yr old m sport 🙁 .

Also leaving a yellowy residue in the seams !

How can I make leather softer ? And smell amazing like new leather does please

Thankyou in advance

You can't make leather any softer than it is to begin with.

Standard modern leather is normally either synthetic or painted leather. Only the higher spec (Merino etc) will be be proper leather.
Conditioners just sit on the surface and collect dirt so shouldn't be used.

All you can do is keep it clean to stop it looking old.
Dr leather wipes are good for this.

Gliptone Liquid Leather, it's the only stuff I ever use and its great. This is a good kit to get you started - https://www.liquidleather.com/leathe...-care-kit-p215

Just make sure you get the colour right for the dye also, when I ordered mine, even though the kit comes with a "Gloss Sealant" you can ask for the matte version and they'll just swap it out for you. At least thats what they did for me!

You'll want to plan your time with this stuff, if you do the whole deep clean and condition etc, it'll take the best part of a day, maybe more but it's worth it. The leather in my car looks new!

As mentioned above, you can't make the leather any softer than it was originally but there's no doubt that a good proper clean will help bring it back....

I've used Gliptone in the past and it is very good.
Everytime you open the door it smells of brand new leather!
