Bought headlights - but not quite sure on the wiring...
So I decided to buy a cheap set of headlights online to fit to my pre-lci E90. They arrived about a month ago and every person I have asked to fit them have messed me about. I have lost all my patience and I am now deciding to give it a go myself. I just need a quick question answer. There's a few loose wires on the back that don't lead to anything, could somebody tell me what they're for please? I have looked all over youtube and no other headlight is like mine with the wires.
Front: http://prntscr.com/jn510e Rear: http://prntscr.com/jmu04u As you can see from the screenshot, there are red and black wires. What do I do with them? I thought these headlights were just plug & play.. Another question I have is, there's a small possibility these may be left hand drive headlights (I have a RHD E90), but I read that they are interchangeable by simply turning a lever of some sort. I have taken a look and I see a bolt that has a logo with an arrow pointing each way, one way is "L" and the other is "R". I assume if I turn this bolt to the "R" it'll be alright for RHD then? That's only my clueless guess, I don't know. That's why I'm here for help! Thanks in advance for any responses! Last edited by BMW_Colm; 05-27-2018 at 04:27 AM.. |
