Front camber pins
I did a search on removing the pins and there are many options - hammer, drill, unscrew, vise-grips. But I'm not sure which method should be used on mine.
And do they look alright or has some one already done something to them. The ones I so in pics were sticking out, mine are not protruding above the hole. What do you boys and girls reckon? |

Is it a possibility that someone else has attempted to remove them before? Any signs..... drilling marks etc.... Or have they already been removed and pushed over? Is there any marks where the 3 bolts are where there is any sign of being moved from original position in the past?

Right! So this is mine which I'll b doing this week.... they stick out about 6mm. Yours seem to be attempted to be removed maybe?.... but not pushed over cause you would see origonal marks where the nut used to be? Is this correct?

No, when you click on the image and it becomes bigger there is a list of links to the right, see which one says "for forums" and click on it, it will be copied automatically, then edit your post paste that link.

Anyway... going by the top pic it looks like there has been an attempt to remove the pin and then moved across slightly... cause it looks like the nut has been moved a mm or 2. If I were u I'd drill more out of what is left then force the strut over as far as it can go towards the engine.

Yeah let us know u get on. I'm gonna slot mine with a dremel tomorrow and try screw them out. Yeah it's a fairly simple procedure and shouldn't take more than an hour or so.

I think one of the struts is already pushed as far to the engine as it can move. While the other one is pushed away from the engine. Some one must have tried to do something there. I have to get them out and check or it will bug me not knowing.

I knew vice grips wouldn't catch onto it cause it was too short and rounded . So I slotted it and stuck a screw driver on it.... no chance.... wouldn't budge. Couldn't find a drill bit so I dremeled it out fairly easy...and it moved across easy enough with a ratchet extension. Started to dremel the other side and ran out of power.... so I managed to find a 8mm drill bit and drilled it.... eventually got it drilled and moved it across... a 9mm would have been perfect and would have saved time more than the 8mm. But all good. Didn't need to lower strutt or jack up anything . Got a black marker to colour in the tiny bare metal parts. I'll fill the hole with some grey silicone and colour it black to... to tidy it up a bit. ☺

Did mine too. I did lower the strut but only on one side, it was easy enough. It's not even a pin, just an aluminium cap pushed into a hole in the mount. Judging by its size it wasn't supposed to be sticking like yours did. Gripped it with a pair of pliers and pulled it out. It's very soft and I can't see it serving any structural purpose. On the other side I just put a small screwdriver against it and knocked it a couple of times with the pliers. It just fell to the ground.
