Have you driven another new 335? just wondering how do you there is a turbo lag, I never felt mine in such way when new nor that I looked for any. I know I can feel the turbo spooning at around 2k-2.5k rpm.

beat the hell outta the car, hopefully, if something is wrong, it will finish breaking. Hopefully they wont ask you to drive the car until service is due, and fix it.

Lame canned response that you always get from BMWNA. *sigh*...

you should ask your service manager to test drive your vehicle with you and test drive a new vehicle on their lot. this way, you can make fair comparisons that there are no big discrepancies.

i agree...

the first 300km i drove under 4k....

next 200km up to 5k....

then 150km up to 6k...tried a few times to 8.5 psi

then first oil change @ 700KM...

now at nearly 850km..man it PULLS....PULLS WAY harder then ever..
the more i drive it, the more it feels faster and less laggy (im on 29.2 it definately lags tho)....

I dont know if this makes any different..but i've been on 94 octane
since 1st fillup after the free tank from dealership....

Are you talking about pinning the throttle at a dead stop with traction control on? The ECU will pull a lot of power out to prevent driveline damage as well as tire spinning. Have you tried running it with the DTC off? Or, instead of snapping the throttle, start off a little slower, and work quickly to full throttle?

I'm thinking he is talking about the associated lag from 29.2 vs the previous progman's. If the new cars all have that same software they'll drive the same way. It's only those of us who have had the previous versions of software who should notice the difference in spool.

are you sure it starting to spool at 3K rpm.. It should start to spool at 1400 RPM. YOu need to let it break in first .. Breaking in time is 5000 miles to 7000 miles for all the fitments are set. 1500 miles would not considering a break in.

All these responses are clearly from folks who haven't driven 29.2

Drive a 29.2 and you will know. The car is a waste below 3000.

No kidding, it's that bad? It's like they are trying to find reasons to keep us from coming in for service. I take all my mods out to be safe and now I don't even want to go in for service just to avoid the software update. Dismal.

I just got the red car on a lift sybmol accompanied by my hand brake light being constantly on. After research on here it seems to be faulty brake sensor.

I dont even want to bring my car in for them to replace that! I'm afraid even if I tell them / threaten them no to install 29.2 they might still do it.

this is bullshit.

I've had that EXACT same problem for over 5k miles now. Also have the 0-15mph squeaking problem, but don't want to bring it in as I was told the software would need to be updated to fix the brakes, sensors etc...

They have an effective method on their hands. It's a shame because my dealership service department is very nice, but its been taken out of their hands

what does updating the software have to do with a brakepad sensor? So yours does this everytime you start it up? the red symbol? not fixed yet?
