Need help, i think i got a BAD ticket!!

NY NY

well i was in the city for a while and i was driving my cousin loan a car.
well the loan a car is from New jersey, and my cuzin is from new york.

i was in manhttan, waiting for my cousin to get outta work and i was in a no standing zone except for commercial cars. so there is this traffic agent who comes to my drivers side window and tells me he is gonna give me a ticket, while playing with his computer, i tell him im waiting for my hurt mother in a wheel chair and need to be here, he tells me i cant stay here, and i put my seatbelt on and leave. while i was down the block from where this happen i look back in my mirror and see the agent is still playing with his comptuer.

FWIW, i know in NY, they scan your sticker on the windo, but NJ cars do not have this. is there anyway he might have put me down for a ticket, without telling me, or giving me a notice?

crap i was afraid of that... so do you agree, that if i was i the car and immediatly left, he was still able to give me a ticket?

anyway i can findout online if i have a ticket to pay? via license plate

yeah, it happened to my parents before in their own car.

they'll send you a bill, but because you had a courtesy car, it'll go to the dealership. the dealership will in turn, probably bill you for it.

as they say...the city will eat you alive especially if you're not from around here. i always believe the traffic signs are strategically designed and placed to confuse you.

Theres a loop hole if the NYC ticket goes to you.

The way around it is whatever the amount of the ticket... lets say $42.

You pay the ticket but you send them $43 with a copy of the ticket and keep the original.

They will send you a check from the state for $1, DON'T cash the check. They cant process the fine until you cash the check. It will get lost in the system forever. It doesnt work if there is a court appearance required though.

Can you confirm that its not a myth by posting a picture of the check from NYC for the $1? Since you dont cash these checks i'm assuming you still have them....

I tried it. I got a no right turn ticket in the city. I paid $2.00 more than the fine and it still showed up in my insurance report. And they took the money out of my account. This happened about 2 years ago.

It's a myth and that's all it is. My friend was the CO (commanding officer) of the 5th Precinct in Chinatown and he can confirm that this is NOT true! He is now retired and enjoying his pension. Lucky ass bastard!
