Firefox 3.0 Download Day
Quote:
I installed it, seems a bit faster when loading pages, smoother looks too. USA is leading with 1.3 million downloads as of 12:43AM EST. http://www.spreadfirefox.com/en-US/worldrecord/

I got 3.0 last night. I have been using mozilla for the last year or two. I noticed an immediate increase in the speed of loading up webpages. Its definately clean and fresh looking.
On a side note. Might as well just download it even if you don't use or install it. Just help them out with their world record. You've still got about an hour of time before the time limit is up for the record.

Yeah, it's as cleaned up as it's going to get now. Mozilla has a hugely successful and open beta program where a large portion of Firefox users were already using 3.0 betas for quite a while now. I know I've been using them for longer than I can remember, and it's a great upgrade. Give it a try.
Oh, that reminds me, since I wasn't at work yesterday, I need to download here at work to add another download to the list. It's actually both. I, along with many others, love this new feature, it's like a personalized search for recent pages visit, but if you don't, I'm sure it can be turned off, even if it requires changing the setting in the about:config, I just don't know exactly where right now because I've never looked for it.

I'll be upgrading as soon as I have time. I've used Firefox since it was debuted years back.
