Error - Following feature is invalid for FA 0909
Hi, I am new to BMW coding. I bought K+DCAN cable from ebay and setup inpa on windows xp and windows 7. I want to do simple coding first like enable digital speedometer. I connect with NCSexpert, load expertmode, click "FG/ZCS/FA", then "ZCS/FA F. ECU", then choose chassis E89, choose ECU CAS, and then I get error:
Following feature is invalid for FA: #0909 What is wrong? How do I start coding? Please help. |

I solved this issue by install "BMW standard tools 2.12" and "folders with v49" from this forum.
But I have another issue. I tried to code digital speedometer by this video: After coding my clock/date/units (also service date) were reset and there is still no digital speedometer, what could be wrong? |

Once you have coded the car, you also need to enable the speed display using the steering column controls.
Then you can scroll through the displays to get to the speed display. |

Also if I read ECU and look into "FSW_PSW.TRC" file it writes "BC_DIGITAL_V nicht_activ". If I look into "FSW_PSW.MAN" file it writes "BC_DIGITAL_V activ". Is this how it should be? shouldnt "FSW_PSW.TRC" file have same values as MAN file? Last edited by Hotter; 06-17-2018 at 05:12 PM.. |

The MAN file contains the changes you are programming.
After the file is written if you reload the configuration from the car, the trace file should look the same as the MAN file. |

I selected SG_CODIEREN and executed job, time/date/units were reset, so coding was done, correct? Any ideas? Maybe v49 folder files are too new for my E92 2009? |

Also this depends upon the profile used. The profile defines how the program handles man and trace files. |

In this video it shows to load "FSW PSW MAN" profile. Is thats the profile I should use?
Did I demage anything by using "Expert mode"? In tutorials I watched all people load expert mode... Is there a tutorial how to configure profile or which one to use? Last edited by Hotter; 06-18-2018 at 02:57 PM.. |
