Brake service light won't die
When I replaced my brake pads I shorted the sensors and did the brake service reset procedure in the computer but the yellow brake light persists. I also have the DTC light presumably as a consequence of the brake light. How can I get better data on why the light is still on? Is there info on this somewhere in INPA or NCS?

Still searching for some info. I found other threads where people couldn't perform the reset until they got new sensors. But mine did reset, the mileage changed but the light persists. Anyone know what to make of this?

I have 2007 328i and I was trying to reset my ses light and all of a sudden my red brake light won’t go out. I hit reset and the mileage won’t come up just a bunch of dots.

Pretty sure you need to replace the brake pad sensor to reset the light. I'm having the same issue. I'll probably short the wires like others have mentioned.

I shorted mine over a year ago no issue, may be as simple as not fully plugged in or check if the connector is functioning just a thought sometime we overlook the obvious.

I don't think the DTC light is related to the brake pad wear sensor. I am thinking perhaps your ABS sensor and/or wired have been disturbed causing the DTC and the brake light. I cannot remember if there is both an ABS and a brake warning light... |
