A couple Jetseal questions
I was going to strip down my wax/glaze next week, and switch to some Jetseal. My gf never waxes her car, so I end up doing it. I want to put it on hers as well so I don't have to keep up with waxing two daily drivers.
Anyways a couple questions: 1. I see people say to let cure for 24 hours. I know some do, and some don't. Does this mean let it sit inside for 24 hours, then wipe off, or not put a wax over top for 24 hours? 2. If I want to use a wax over top, can I use Zymol. I have a basically new tin, and don't want to have it go to waste. It works well, just needs to be done often. I would put that on my car, as my gf just needs something with durability. 3. How many coats is ideal to use. I know with Zaino people put a whole lot of coats. Is more coats overkill or suggested? Thank you. |

Let me attempt this...
1. If you can let it cure as long as 24 for hours, it's going to look even better and protect even better. The longer it sits, the better it cures to the paint. This means leaving it on for as you have time for without buffing it off. 2. Zymol will certainly work on top. You can top it with whatever wax you like really. 3. I think most people just opt to do one coat curing overnight, but as FMINUS has said before, if you can give it 24 hours and 2 coats "hold onto your pants" (yeah, his direct quote, haha). Any more coats than that starts to become impractical for the time you'll want to let it cure. If you don't let it sit long enough then you're just going to be applying and wiping off over and over without letting it really cure much. I say to let it cure for AT LEAST an hour. I like to go inside and leave it for around 5 hours or so, overnight if possible. I'm not as much into the multiple coats. I'd rather do Jetseal and top it with a good wax than spend too much time on just Jetseal.

1. Let cure for 24 hours means to apply one layer wipe off in 12 hours and apply another layer wipe that off in 12 hours! 2 layers 24 hours!!
2. Yes u can use your zymol on top of the jetseal it will just bring more shine and depth depending on what color your car is! Id recommend some Collonite 845 for your chicks car if all your looking for is durability.. It also has a nice shine IMO. 3. I answered this in question 1!! ![]()
