During my HOURS of research for the bestest most greatest angel eye bulbs for my e92 I finally realized that my car is a 01/07 production (pre march) .. which if you don't know means I have some different type of module, which would not allow lets say a Lux h8 180 to work on my vehicle. Basically my angel eyes would shut off when my headlights went on I guess.

With that being said I was curious to know if anyone knew of any bulbs that would work in my car?

Right now I know:
- Lux h8 v5 (pre march 07 version) but $165+shipping :O
- GP Thunder Halogen

Anything else? Will some cheapo ebay LEDs work?

I checked it out before .. but do you're bulbs work probably in a pre march 2007 build like mine?

If you are referring to HPB 240W H8 Angel Eyes, then yes they work on all 2007.

I have an 11/07 build. Running Lux H8 160s, no issues. Disabled bulb check via coding, and never had any issues for the past 2 years.
