O2 Simms with Stock Downpipes
I'll be putting in the UR catless DPs on the car tomorrow and I mounted the O2 simms from Terry today. Just wondering, considering the DPs are not changed out yet, would there be any difference with the simms in terms of performance?
I drove the car after the install for a bit and it seemed like it had to adapt, initially seemed to have lost some power but then recovered again. How do you explain this? |

Word on the street is that putting O2 sims in with stock downpipes will throw a code, which explains the symptoms you describe.

I took out my downpipes at a perferred shop and drove home to take out the simms.. it was approx 80 miles of highway driving and didnt throw a code.... It shouldn't be a problem because with the o2 simms it just tricks your ecu into thinking you had cats..

Stock downpipes with 02 simulator will not throw a code.
You will be OK. Good luck!
