If you are going for an aggressive look, then by all means go for black
You can also try something with a polished lip and a black or hyper black center, that would go well with the color of your car -Zoeb |

Or how about this for your SG coupe??? A custom set of OEM BMW color matched space gray wheels with polished lip.
Here is a Charcoal gray LM rep example that would look sweet on your ride. Let me know if you need some help. |

I will definitely need some help. Is there a better way to communicate with you than through the forum?

I think black rims will be a bit harder to pull off on a Sparkling Graphite. Maybe more of a gunmetal color. I've seen some SGs with all black rims, but it depends on what sort of theme you're going for.
Here's a picture of the M6 style wheel: |

I don't think it's going to look aesthetically better then gunmetal or silver rims. Black is not easy to pull off, wheels need to be big, you need to probably lose the window trim in chrom for black, same for grilles and before you know it you have a an all blacked out car which to me only makes sense with a car that's jet black and not gray. JMHO.

I'm thinking a set of these would really work well on your car. I wouldn't do the all black look but get some contrast in there with a silver lip.

^Those wheels look like they need to seriously be on a really aggressive looking E92. Like I said, it's hard to pull off, but it can really look beautiful like that one

Personally I wouldn't do a black wheel on your car - I am not a big fan of the way it comes off - versus a silver/hypersilver/gunmetal color. Black to often without a lip especially comes off as a spare. Ultimately its your choice .

Well, as you can see from my car above, I have black wheels on a sparkling coupe. Here are my thoughts, in case you care.
Black is hard to pull off. I was reluctant to go for black. I knew if I did I had a few requirements - they had to be matte (I think gloss black wheels are even harder to pull off), matte looks aggressive and generally keeps them looking a tad "classier", which you need when you're going for such an in your face look. Two they needed a polished lip to set them off, and three they needed to be mesh; when it's a 5 spoke or something you can't even see the face. Upsides are they look mean, it sets you apart more from stock cars, and in some areas they are rare. On the forum they are sort of played out, but then again so is everything here. Downsides are they look smaller than silver wheels and you need to keep them clean for them to look good. Oh, and SG looks pretty dark in the shade...imo black wheels look better on sg in the sun, makes the paint look lighter. Anyway here are some pics with more detail of the wheels. http://****************/fp/335i/kevin/bethpics/2.jpg http://****************/fp/335i/kevin/wheels/3.jpg http://****************/fp/335i/kevin/sept07/l.jpg |
