High crankcase pressure after replacing pcv

Hi there E90post. After replacing my starter my car was having high crankcase pressure so I replaced the pcv valve on my cars valve cover(my model has the integrated pcv). I did see that my old pcv was ripped and broken so I assumed the problem would be gone. I also replaced the pcv hose that goes from the valve cover to the underside of the intake manifold. The problem did not completely go away as sometimes the car whistles every one out of four starts and will stall when coming to a stop. My question is: Is there anything else I can replace before replacing the valve cover? Are there any components that affect crankcase other than the pcv valve?

Thanks in advance for any help towards fixing this nightmare.
