Help! Engine codes and limp mode
I changed my glow plugs on my '10 335d today and now I have a ton of codes plus I'm in limp mode.
The codes I have: 4A5E - Glow plug, cylinder 2, activation <- the one I was trying to fix 4862 - Air system, air to EGR mass flow plausibility 4B82 - Exhaust-gas recirculation - rate control, control deviation 00, 01, 48, 65 No found! <- what does this even mean 4530 - Charge-air pressure contol, deviation Is there one single problem that would cause this? Obviously something happened or forgotten while re-assembling. Ian |

Update
The black plastic hose was not connected to the EGR.
Now all codes gone except the glow plug code which is what I was trying to fix. Would I be correct to assume that the glow plug controller is the issue? |

I replaced all 6 plugs and #2 is the only one giving a code.
Not sure how to tell if they are correct. On another note. In the process of doing the work, I lost one of the 7 manifold spacers that go on the studs with a nut on top. I had all 7 of the rubber grommets that attach to the spacers because some stayed on the studs. I am not sure how else to describe them. I haven't been able to find any online, and I wasn't able to source them at the local parts store. I don't have a dealership in my town so I haven't been able to look there. Does anyone know where I can find one? |

Any help would be appreciated. I am concerned that it is sold as part of the manifold and not individually. |

I would just slip an M7 washer under the nut. The sleeve just protects the plastic from rubbing on the stud, which shouldn't be an issue since you have 6 other sleeves to help center it in the hole. The washer will help prevent the nut from marring up the surface it tightens against. |
