1st Time BMW owner with codes. Please help
Okay this is my first BMW ever and I picked it up from a couple who has let it sit for half the year. So this morning we had all fluids checked, oil changed, etc.
On the way home ABS, some triangle light, and the tire pressure light came on. But all tire pressure it good. I Stopped by Oreilly and these are the codes it pulled. 2DC3 11715 Control clamp 15 2DC3 11756 Power management, battery control 2E8D 11917 Intelligent battery sensor, signal transmission 30FF 12543 Exhaust fume turbocharger low side- Underboost These codes are all from a 2007 BMW 335I. 126k Miles. No mods to my knowledge Not sure if any more information is needed to help you guys but I can get it if needed. |

Modern BMWs hate dying batteries. If it really has been sitting for a long time the battery could be on the way out, and the computers will throw all sorts of codes.

Okay, I didn't even think of that. Should I take it to Advance? They have something to test for a dying battery, correct? |

I will definitely check that out.
So this may be the silliest question ever but how do I tell what tires fit on here? This is my first car I've owned in the past 12 years. Everything I've owned have been big lifted diesels. So a car is a new field for me |

Clear the codes and just drive it for a few weeks. BMWs hate to just sit. If they didn't have a battery tender on it while it was stored, then get a new battery. Don't have Autozone install it.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Someone revived your thread. I didn't catch the tire question earlier. The tires that are on the rim have the sizes on them. The owner's manual has a section on what proper tires to buy and the correct sizes. Also, the tire pressure sticker on the drive's door jamb has the tire sizes that were on the car when it came from the factory.
