Compelling reasons to upgrade from iPod Classic?
I used my iPod (Classic 5th gen) to play music in all my cars. It's a 60 GB with about 30 GB of music on it right now. I could easily fill it & still not have all my music on it (Not that I care to)
Any compelling reasons why I should upgrade to a newer iPod or something for my music needs in the cars? |

They have an iPod with a phone, GPS/map, email, web browser, and apps in it too now. I think it’s going to be big. You should take a look-see.
But honestly if it still works and does what you need, no reason to upgrade. What are some reasons you thought people might have for you to upgrade? |

My ipod is so old it didn't even have classic in the name. 3rd gen ipod, black and white screen, no click buttons, 15 gb haha. Still going strong except the battery life sucks now

You can get new batteries on ebay for a couple of bucks. Not hard to replace.

I have a 160gb classic that lives in the trunk of the E39 M5. It's been there for ~5 years now constantly powered... I'm pretty sure the batteries are roached but hey when I drive that car and want to jam out to the music on it, it works flawlessly, zero reason to upgrade lol!

I don't understand why you wouldn't just switch to your iPhone.

I think my oldest son has about the same thing, but he keeps it in the dash of the 19xx Celica that he is the 3rd hand-me-down owner of at this point. Always in the extended family though.
