rear spoiler

I noticed here recently my rear spoiler is peeping up on the very ends, up towards the top/trunk part. It was on there perfect before, but the outer edges are up a little. I can tell you the thing is stuck on there like concrete, so I guess I'm screwed and something i have to get used too. It's not major, small things make me sick.

Oh no!

I hope my spoiler doesn't "mis-fit"
I'm going to really have to watch the body shop fit in on monday... Really watch.

Man, that happened to mine too! I know what you mean. That sucks man. I just try to ignore it, but I can't help but try and "push" it back into place when I'm examining my car. Of course, it flexes right back. What can you do, you know?

It's not noticeable from 3 feet away if you're not scrutinizing the car, so I'm fine with it.

Well it will not matter, mine was on there perfect before, this happened later. My spoiler has been on there since I picked up my car, 12/7/05

Oh good, well not good, but I am glad I'm not alone. I was going to go show the dealer, but I dont think it would matter. I bet yours is the same as mine, just a little on the ends. It was on there perfect before. I know what you mean, when I clean the car, and examine it, I press down on it, but it goes right back. You're right, oh well...just have to get over it. I think I'm the only one that notices it.

Not really worth it if you have to "pull it" more up... :-/

mmmm....I'll see when mine is installed - I might be able to ponder a solution.

I'll standby for any fixes. I was going to DIY the spoiler and it seem sthat the tips peel off over time. Might be good to have the dealer install only so they can own the solution as a warrantee item. Either that, or put down tons of glue on the tips to be sure.

Perhaps there's a better adhesive than the Betalink? I hear 3M has some good stuff.

But the real question is, 'How much did the rear spoiler lip improve down force?"

I'm gonna guess that either the surface wasn't properly cleaned before installing the spoilier or the spoiler was pre-loaded when it was put on. You could try gluing it down again. I dunno how viscous the beta-link glue is but you could try a syringe to inject some underneath the spoiler.

Are you serious, that sucks, so it's common, I guess we'll have to get over it  . Trying to put glue up under there now may be a mess. I think the spoiler from BMW needs to be bent exactly perfect to fit, I have no idea why they made one you have to put pressure on. With time it does pop back up

Just a note of caution: When washing the car with a wash rag, be careful near the spoiler tips as the rag may snag and pull them up more than they are.

Wait... on a un-related note, how much downforce is improves from all the various spoilers? Like the ACS roof-spoiler for example. And maybe the Hamann Spoiler?
