Current financing, 1.9% or 2.9%?

I've seen a few posts that make me think BMWFS lowered the special 60 month finance rate from 2.9% to 1.9%. The 2.9% was for the midwest market for 60 months. Does anyone know what the current situation is. My car should be in any day and am hoping that it did drop. Thanks.

well, there are promotions BMW throws from time to time on different models and there was one for E90s for 2.99% financing.

not sure what kind of credit you need to have and/or other conditions you need to meet in order to qualify though.

but these promotions don't usually go on unless sales are low or unless BMW tries to get rid of that particular model.

1.99% is unheard of, however.

Nope, not on crack. It is a regional deal for 2.9 or maybe 2.99 for 60 months with excellent credit. I did see somewhere recently, either or here or on another BMW forum that there was another deal of 1.9.

1.9% in PA? Certainly not the mid-west. Was that through BMWFS?

You guys are lucky.

In SA, we in a good economic cycle and rates vary from 2 below Prime to as much as 7 above Prime (max legally allowed to charge and usually on high risky clients). By the way, Prime = 10,5%.

Now work that on a 300k debt over five years to see how much we have to pay. Sometimes it is so steep, we even take out Balloons ' Residuals to help soften the blow.

Guys - Can you give me some more info (ammo)?

My dealer is claiming that 1.9% is just a bunch of rumors and is not true!!

What commercials did you see it advertised?
Is the 1.9 on a lease or a purchase?
Is it BMW-FS offering it?

Thanks!

So I call BMWFS today and ask them about the deal. I just had to know if they offered these rates regionally only. I was told that there were no special rates from BMWFS, accept the advertised lease offers found at BMWUSA.com. However as a captive finance organization for BMW and their dealers, the rates are set by the dealer, not by BMWFS. This didn't seem totaly possible, but it is what I was told. So in other words, all you can do is shop from dealer to dealer until one bites. I would drive up to PA to buy my car if I had not already order one in MD. i haven't tried to negotiate the rate, but I'm sure I'll get a no f-ing way. Oh well.
