Ok to debadge?

I got my car 2 octobers ago. Sparkling graphite, Its been parked in the sun. Not all the time but a significant amount. I've been on trips for a few days and it was left in the sun.

Do you think that if I debadge it, there would be an outline? If so could that be taken care of and how.

2 octobers ago? never heard anyone say that, lol.

I don't think there will be any issues after you remove the badge. If car was 10 years old than may be. Anyway, nothing a little polishing won't fix. Definately do it, mine came without badges and Its better that way - i think the placement of the badge is ackward - too close to the roundel. It used to fit better on older bimmers, where there was a nice space over the taillight but now it's a bit strange so debadge FTW!

Should be no problem, I did my Benz after 5 years. Sometimes there is a difference but you can use rubbing compounds and/or wet sand it. You will be fine, I love not having the "335i" emblem

We just debadged our 2004 E46 this past weekend and it looks great. Don't worry about it.

After about that amount of time I debadged my graphite G35, and there was definitely some shadowing. It didn't look terrible though. Just take one number off, and if it looks terrible, reapply it.

I have a SG, park outdoors, and debadged after 2.5 years. Washed, clay barred, polished, waxed, and there was still an outline left over. Not a big deal or very noticable unless you're really close and looking for it. I think it looks better debadged though.

There may be an outline still after you debadge it, but as others have said, spot detail that area, and give it a few days. It'll fade a little and blend in more.

i had my space gray e92 in arizona for about 2 years and i just debadged it about 4 days ago. Looks perfectly fine. Use some goo gone to remove the excess 3m tape left behind and then clay bar to smooth it out and it should be all good.

You can use some GooGone then polish to remove the leftovers from the debadging. Good luck
