I doubt it!
I know same year vehicles can switch seats (like a 2007 X5 or X3 seats can fit in a 2007 E90) but new model years don't plug and play into older model years. Also BMW puts a lot of passive restraint tech into the seats themselves which would make this job annoying!

So it works....
had to re-pin/swap the seat plug, swap seat modules, swap the seatbelt/pretensioner and fab on a seat position sensor but all the features work (even power side bolsters which the old seats didnt have) with no airbag errors. I haven't checked whether memory works yet. Untitled by smarty-pants44, on Flickr Untitled by smarty-pants44, on Flickr Untitled by smarty-pants44, on Flickr However, i have a "electrical malfunction error". Buuut, if i put the old seat back in the same error pops up when i try and clear it, so i must have yanked a cable too hard or something.... BMW Code by smarty-pants44, on Flickr so this weekend i gotta do some electrical troubleshooting...

Hey like the other guy before me said, it's been two years. Can you please show us how to do this. I installed a 430 seat into my e90 and it's working fine, heated is the only thing that doesn't work. Long story short, if it's plugged in I get abs warning, airbag warning, stability control warning seatbelt warning all at the same time, and their intermittent, about 30 seconds. Any help??? My email is mmarroquin004@gmail.com

Well what we have been doing is taking the old seats connectors and re pinning them onto the new seats. The only thing is we cannot figure out what way the seat controls get wired up. All the motors are wired in correctly, but the control panel doesn’t make any sense. The whole thing is extremely confusing, but the position sensors did atleast just bolt right onto my new seats so that Is a plus.

Everything you'll need is contained within the seat itself.

A bit of an old thread revival. I'm picking up F30 sport seats that have bolsters, memory, and heated and planning on installing them in my E90 LCI that has base seats with memory, heat and of course motorised.
From this thread; it looks like I need to: - move the E90 seats modules to the F seats - repin the F seats plugs to fit into the E90 module Any pinout guide, what pin from the F seat goes to what pin holder on the E90 plug so that I can get heated, bolsters, memory and be adjustable of course? Appreciate any help. |

Lumbar is self contained in the seat, just need power. Heat requires adding wires from the fuse block (there is a fancy bmw name I forget), if you're car didn't have it originally, plus the switches. Overall you can get every function working in an E car https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=893675 |

My E90 seats are heated so is the F30 seats. The only difference between my E90 seats and the F30 seats are the bolsters in the F30. From my research so far and finding different threads on multiple sites, it seems the driver seat is the easiest to do and would retain all original features and get the bolsters working as well once tapped for 12v and ground. The passenger side seems to be the one that is more complicated. I hope I can tackle it this summer! What I'm looking for is a pinout in a diagram similar to this one for the F seats https://www.e90post.com/forums//show...93&postcount=3 Where it shows each pin and what it does. |
