I actually like the new rear lights across the facelifted 911 range. It's about the ONLY positive thing I can say. I'm actually fed up with seeing the same old stuff from Porsche.

Wait, the long red reflector doesnt look so bad for some reason Normally I'd shoot Porsche down and say how ugly it is. But for some reason it makes the rear of the car look less bland and droppy. I dunno....

The 993 is reborn!

HKS, I always look forward to your posts because you always seem to find all the new cars before the rest of us normal folks, but I have to disagree with you here. Unlike every single other car on the planet, the 911 has been pretty much the same forever. Thats what makes it a 911. If they changed it, then it would lose nearly everything that makes it a 911. I do think its sad that they dont do more with the Cayman or come out with a new Porsche sports car/super car to compete with the best offerings from Ferrari or Lamborghini, but the 911 is a classic. It's an automotive constant. It's nice knowing that the same 911 I wanted 15 years ago will be pretty much the same 911 I buy in 10 years. It's NOT for everyone, clearly, but there are plenty of other brands and cars out there that keep changing to appeal to new customer bases and changing tastes. For those of us that fear change and know what we want... there is no substitute.

+1....and I'm also stunned I like it. For whatever reason it just looks "right" on that car.

rest of it looks good. not groundbreaking, but it is just a facelift afterall. biggest news is the PDK tranny (obviously), although I swear I saw something that there are no steering wheel paddles for it?

they must be using the buttons from the old tiptronic right? otherwise that would be a huge oversight.

mm...i prefer the current tail lights ! the angular lights contradict the soft lines of the car, imo...

Well, I agree to some extent and respect them points. I'm not saying move away from hertiage, but they could progress their designs in some ways but keep some of the things that add to it's character like the sloping roofline and rear engine.

I really love those chops. They move Porsche forward yet maintain character.

I hated that stripe on the rear of the 996 C4's, and still find it looks like shit for 2009.

I must say that I like it...yeah, it is the same old thing that is constantly facelifted, but the design is timeless.

I think that this 911 looks worse than the last.

Yea I don't think porsche redesigns the whole car just a face lift or minor changes ... i mean these cars look similar to what they were 10 years ago!

I wouldn't mind getting a 911 turbo
