At what temp do waxes break down
At about what temperature does a wax lose its solidity and stop providing protection? For people that live in the desert and have high temps what waxes are you using?

most waxes are carnauba which is an oil from some brazilian plant i think. just think of what temp oil breaks down which is.... a lot so i wouldn't worry about that

Carnauba wax is known for its high melting point and its hardness. The temperature has to exceed around 170 degrees to compromise the wax.

I'm sure 170 degrees or so is its break down point, but I don't doubt high heat of 100 degree (130degrees paint) will somewhat begin degrading the wax.
