Prevent black rear parcel shelf (rear deck) from fading

My 2011's rear deck is faded to light purple. I have a new deck to put in but I'm wondering if there's a uv protectant to help prevent it from fading in the future.

I may do tint, but in case I don't, I want to apply a fabric uv protectant. Has anyone used anything they recommend?

I just spent this past weekend replacing the parcel tray in my 2011 for the very same reason. The only product that I can think of is 303 Fabric Guard: https://www.autogeek.net/303fabricguard.html

Personally I'm heading to the window tinter.

Unfortunately, you’ll need tint to prevent it from fading. You can get the lightest tint and it’s protective ability will be better than any spray uv protectant in the long run.

All of my previous BMWs have had a faded deck. My current deck is as black as when new (built and delivered in 05). It has Llumar ceramic tint. Get tint to prevent fade. There are 99% UV blocking tint that is invisible as well (Llumar Air 80) to the eye if you do not like the look of tint.
