horrible service in socal

I know this isnt the right place to put this thread, but since it is in socal i thought it would be better. First off I ordered my wheels from a pretty well known shop. Won't mention a name yet unless they keep dodging my calls. He told me if I ordered it at the end of april I would be able to recieve them at the end of may so when end of may comes I call to see wats going on and he goes another 2 weeks since its on the boat right, but guess what i call again and nope he goes another week. Another week passes by I call again and tells me next week on the 27th so today called again and he still doesnt know anything. I am pretty pissed off its been over a month since he told me he could get them and its summer time i need my rims!!!! and yes everytime i call hes either out or has gone home for the day thats why i made my sister call for me and now hes finally there and still hasnt got any news about my wheels. I am about to shoot someone since the wait is killing me!! well yeah had to tell my story cuz im pretty mad

Can I make an assumption?
Did you order velocity CSL replicas?
If so, then you're not the only one.

well seein that they r work wheels, u cant really expect forged wheels to just be ready, just like that u kno. the person who sold the wheels to u can only kno so much from the manufacturer of wen the wheels will be done. some ppl hav waited mny more months that u for their wheels. sorry to hear about ur situation, but i'm in the same boat as u waiting for my daytonas so i can close this sale w/ another member on this forum.

so honestly, forged wheels take time and its like what everyone told me, wheels that u really want, r always worth the wait. its the beginning of summer, its not gonna kill u, u'll be alrite

it sux they're dodgin ur calls tho

yea, i def feel ur pain. jlevis said the were startin to shit out their vorsteiner v35 hood out last wk, but now its the end of this wk and i still havn't heard wats the status except "they're tryin to get them out as soon as they can" so its kinda like, wth...all i can do is wait, cuz i wanna get it done b4 bimmerfest, but w/ this wait, its just a PITA waiting and not knowin wen its gonna be ready u kno?

for them to say it'll be ready in 4-5 wks sux tho, cuz forged wheels dont normally take that long, but longer i've seen. they must hav said that to get ur sale wen they kno that most forged wheels take longer than that.

most custom order wheels take 2-3 months. if they told you 5 weeks...that is quite hopeful.

I know it sux to wait...I've been waiting for my set that was supposed to arrive at the end of may...but here at the end of june...still no wheels.

Its the pain you have to pay to get a particular set of wheels that you want that are not commonly stocked at any retailer. But that is what makes you stand out once the arrive....not too common all over the streets.

I don't remember the exact length of time, but it took several months to get my Work VS-XX wheels. These are custom fabricated and from Japan, so it's not uncommon to expect a long wait.

Work forged wheels are made shortly after order. After that, the shipping company most likely wants to fill a the container they are on to save you money on shipping. It'll be awhile.
