Can someone tell me why Dinan offers software for the 135i v81.0 DME but not the 335i v81.0 DME? At least it appears this way on their website. Aren't the DMEs the same? I guess I can call them but thought someone here would know.

Actually, Nick Mitchell discussed this with me. He said that the 135's just got done so the new 335i's are right around the corner now. Expect it to be released over the next few weeks is my guess. I have been driving Nick insane with phone calls for updates and when this is getting done. I just got my cc bill for the Dinan parts and labor. Damn, that is a lot of money. I need the damn engine flash already.

I just read the Dinan website and it confirms what he was telling me. He mentions that the newer cars will need to have their DME shipped to Dinan for the install of the software upgrade. I imagine it can't be far from production for the new 335's than. I am awaiting this pretty badly. So I sure hope it gets out fast for us.

No Shit! I'd be beside myself if I'd paid all the money for the hardware and was still without the software.

The reason I stuck with it was to get the 20% off discount with my friend. Had I come back and he quit his job(which he was close to) than I would have to pay full price down the road. I now have everything except the badge and software.

Are you going to install the badge? Just curious. I know if it were me...I wouldn't advertise the fact that I had a Dinan upgrade just in case I had to dust somebody at a stop light. I'd rather be a "sleeper" I guess.

I never looked at it that way. I haven't installed it yet for just the reason of not having the engine flash at this point. I do get your plan though. However, I think it looks cool with the badging.
