v2 sputter
It was hot and humid today. I was at a stoplight, 1st, 2nd, and in third, sputter/cut power/sputter/cut power. No limp. I have never had limp or this sputter before. Kinda freaked me out
TQ was 94, map 1/10. Just went out, loaded 2/26, and datalog ended up lowering TQ to 82% left it there cuz that is where the boost plateaus started to get irregular and in the high 13, low 14 range. I think that is safe?

Did you check your connections?
They might have come lose. If not then try resetting the Procede. If that doesn't work then ask for a new precede. The same exact thing happened to me but I had an older procede though. It happened to me when I first loaded the V2 maps. The old procede couldn't handle the newer firmware.

I was at 94 TQ setting on the v2 1/10 map and in 95 degree whether had a highest boost reading of 23PSI!!! Also had regular 18-18.5 boost @ WOT in the few test runs I did (using an external boost gauge-highly recommended over the datalogging software). I had to drastically lower the user TQ values as you did.
I had V3 on order, so I just took it easy while I waited on the lower TQ settings. V3 is flawless in hitting it's boost targets so far. Doesn't matter if it's 75 or 95 degrees, no adjustments needed. I'm using the VEI Digital gauge setup that came from Rick's group by. After seeing the results on V2, I would strongly urge anyone using V2 to have a boost gauge installed and consider the V3 PNP harness, firmware and software. |

I am extremely happy with the V3 upgrade and would recommend it to everyone. I am also glad that it came out in such short order (6 months after installing V2). V3 is quite the improvement. |

And yes I agree it would have been nice if V1 was the final finished product, but.....

I will never go back up on my TQ settings without either a boost guage or V3. The whole event was way too much for me. I don't want to F -up my car.

This studder happens when I'm taking off from a light typically when I'm in manual mode and forget to shift down to 1st. I doesn't happen when I'm 1/2 or even WOT.

You guys really shouldn't have to pay to fix a design flaw.. doesn't sound fair/right to me. I am sure if you emailed your concerns they would fix the problem for you? or is this an unofficial problem that is not acknowledged to actually exist?

This is what I get when I refuse to pay more money to fix the problems. "Contrary to the results of all your stringent testing procedures, v2 is perfectly stable. We had to work out a few 6AT related bugs upon release but, fortunately, that only took a week or so. And contrary to what you argue, v2 is just as adaptable to additional mods as any other tuning option on the market. Except v3, of course, which is in other league. As it should be because it represents another 1/2 year of development. And if you think we would willingly sell you v3 (or anything else), you're assuming too much. It wont happen on my watch. Shiv Shiv refuses to sell me something I refuse to buy. Funny isn't it? Why should I have to Pay more money to fix his poor product? It is rediculous. I was shocked to see Eugen write this about the V2 Product. It's simple - Shiv had something to loose, I ~ only ~ have been his customer and a beta-tester. Guys, take care with V2, go back to 87-88 % UT settings and use 93 octane gas. Sell the PROcede V2 or upgrade to V3. The thing why I am really disappointed is that Shiv knew / knows this issue and asked us beta-testers to beat the shit out of the car. I never did, I always used a boost gauge and never overestimated Shiv's capabilities. However, this time has gone. I'm going to get Lawdude to represent me. Vishnu needs to fix V2 free of charge. |

I owned a B5 S4 Audi and sold it to buy the 335. I had an APR Chip in my Audi and the thing worked perfect. I had no idea that the Piggy would be so unstable and cause so much controversy. After buying V1 and having problems then getting duped into buy the V2 upgrade for $150 thinking it was going to solve the problems only to have more problems. I'm not getting duped into buying another freaking upgrade when V2 was suppose to be a flawless tune.

Funny, I was just saying the same thing on another post. There always seems to be something wrong with the product.
My personal belief is that the products are rushed to market with the knowledge that many people that are interested are also tweakers....so there is a level of tolerance for problems. For all of the problems, the price should be lower. I have no problem paying for R&D, but I do have a problem with paying somebody while they use my vehicle to do their R&D. |
